Established Soho’s most famous artist community of the time providing work studios for artists, designers and entrepreneurs. Artplace expanded from Soho to Noho and LIC, serving hundreds of artists as an exciting environment for artistic endeavors and collaboration between the tenants.

Developed and implemented ideas for the Art Multiple and Product Design Industry. Expanded artists’ vision in the multi-faceted design field, for industry.

 

Mix Canyon Foundation for the Visual Arts, Vacaville, CA
Co-Founder and Co-Director
Established a not-for-profit foundation with a school and apprenticeship program that focused on the pairing of students with established artists, who where invited to create outdoor sculpture installations. Oversaw the planning and managing of the apprenticeship program which included promoting student enrollment, inviting guest artists, review of artist’s installation proposals, provided administrative support including publicity, programming and artist’s needs.

Developed and opened art gallery, commissioned sculpture and printmaking facility, and working art studios. Provided private instruction to students, with exhibition opportunities in studio gallery. Developed and implemented apprenticeship program for students to work with practicing artists. Produced small sculpture, serigraph and woodcut editions for area artists, and maintained an active public demonstration program.

Designed and distributed products internationally, for this ‘state of the art’ stationary, greeting card and design company.

Designed and developed products for an international gift and decorative accessory corporation.

 

Zealous Art Projects, Fairfield, CA
President, Owner and Designer
Designed, manufactured and distributed soft sculpture, decorative accessories, ceramic wall mirrors and acrylic jewelry. These ‘cutting edge’ products from ‘ZAP’ were featured in major magazines internationally. Set up and managed at-home operations, and taught homemakers to produce ZAP’s soft sculpture products. As a result, many of these women went on to establish their own businesses.
